With the passing of this year’s muggy Labor Day, summer has unofficially come to an end.
While you sit at work reminiscing about the long days at the beach and endless lobster rolls, I’ll give you one more thing to make the end of summer depression set in: Fire Island, more specially – Maquire’s.
Located at the end of Ocean Beach in Fire Island, Maquire’s is not only serving up delicious seafood for lunch & dinner, but you can also return later that night for some cocktails, music and dancing.
If you plan to do some eating in between your rocket fuels, then check out some of the food options at Maguire’s below:
Nothing says summer salad quite like watermelon/feta. Delicious.
This can be ordered gluten-free by specifying no croutons.
The ultimate summer crustacean – lobster. Served in it’s true form.
No dessert. The rocket fuels were enough.
But Maguire’s didn’t see the last of us; we made sure to return later that night for some more drinks & music. [TIP: ask for an entrance ticket for that evening when you dine there!]
Pros: Fresh seafood, fun crowd (both day time and late night)
Cons: You’ll have to wait until next summer to go
